ICA is closed from the 30 May – 3 June inclusive.
‘This is a realm championing the embodiment of Freetown.’
This space survives fearlessly in exploration, it is the battleground of the minds...where curiosity parades whilst embracing boundaries. A state which is recognised in participating artists who connect the acts of the unapologetic acts. Not conforming to social/western ideologies and conditionings of how we exist in our entirety thus far.
Throughout the night, artists take over different spaces in Channel B. Presenting a new installation work by SCATTSMAN titled Scatteration 1.0, a performance deconstructing western influence on Congolese culture by Verane, a work in progress made from field recordings of the city by Alpha Maid, visual performance piece Open The Flood Gates Of Heaven, 2020 by Jebi Labembika, and Cõvco's new performance piece Rinse + Spin blue.
Hosted in Channel B, this evening of live performances and visual presentations features artists Cõvco, Alpha Maid, SCATTSMAN, Verane and Jebi Labembika.
