Book Launch: “I’m With Pulp, Are You?”
Institute of Contemporary Arts

Book tickets

An evening to celebrate the publication of I’m With Pulp, Are You?, featuring Pulp guitarist Mark Webber in conversation with broadcaster and writer Miranda Sawyer.

Having discovered Pulp as a teenager, Mark worked as tour manager and fan club president before joining the band in 1995. Drawing on an incredible archive of ephemera and personal photos, his lavishly illustrated book traces the epic story of Pulp from its formation during Jarvis Cocker’s schooldays through to international success and the ongoing ‘encore’ that started with widely-acclaimed UK concerts last year.

Following the discussion and book signing, the event continues in the bar with guest DJs evoking memories of “Little Stabs at Happiness”, the film and club night Mark ran at the ICA from 1997-2000.

I’m With Pulp, Are You?, published by Hat & Beard Press, will be available on the night for the discounted price of £40.

Miranda Sawyer’s new book Uncommon People: Britpop and Beyond in 20 Songs which uses twenty pop songs to examine UK music in the 1990s, is out now from John Murray Press.
