Al-Hol is the most dangerous refugee camp in Syria, if not the Middle East – a volatile makeshift home for 70,000 individuals displaced by Daesh (aka ISIS, or the Islamic State of Iraq & Syria) that nonetheless also harbours Daesh members. Mahmud and Ziyad make it their mission to venture inside this terrifying encampment and rescue dozens, perhaps even hundreds of Yazidi women and girls who have been abducted, held here and sold as sex slaves – the Sabaya.
