Christmas Eve in Miller's Point sees four generations of the Balsano family gather for what may be the last Christmas in their family home in small-town Long Island. Boisterous aunts, uncles, cousins, and one indomitable grandmother drink and talk to no end, straining to understand one another. As the group loses itself in rowdy celebration, two cousins sneak away into the suburban winter wonderland in an act of teenage rebellion. Here director Tyler Taormina puts an uncanny cinematic stamp on the holiday movie, with a stand-out ensemble including Michael Cera, Francesca Scorsese, and Gregg Turkington.
