Having embarked somewhere unfamiliar in London, four friends seek to escape the everyday violence they face in London. They burst into a party in full swing, manoeuvring their way through rooms: the house is packed tightly with black people dancing, sweating and celebrating. They are lost in their own joy, until this moment is interrupted. Under the Noise asks what it means to find freedom in the heat of summer, at house parties and on the dance floor, and what it means to have your freedom interrupted by danger in a space previously deemed as safe.
